The regeneration of Wembley is already underway, with new jobs, shops, homes, restaurants and leisure facilities being created around the Stadium, following the re-opening of Wembley Arena and the creation of Arena Square as a major open space for Brent. The first residents move into the area later this year and we have already invested over £350m into Wembley.

This exhibition explains what is currently happening and is the start of a process to plan the area between Wembley Park tube station and Engineers Way, covering 39 acres either side of Olympic Way.

The panels here today illustrate the opportunity to provide more homes, new shops, a new park and, if appropriate, a primary school or other educational provision, opening up the area for everyone to enjoy.

It is our first public consultation and we will return in the coming months with a second public consultation showing how the plans have evolved, before a planning application is made to Brent Council later in 2008.
