The site has been cleared and already the £35m refurbishment of Wembley Arena is complete. Arena Square and the Square of Fame are successful, the first residential buildings are under construction and work is now starting on the new Hilton Hotel and the student accommodation scheme.

Together with the London Development Agency land, the current regeneration programme will deliver a world class setting for Wembley Stadium and deliver:

A new Wembley Park Boulevard, as long and as wide as Regent Street, with pedestrian priority and lined with a range of restaurants, cafés, bars, leisure facilities, shops and a 441 bedroom, international standard Hilton hotel.

6,900 jobs, offering long-term employment to local people.

New designer fashion outlets and sports stores, to add a unique shopping offer at Wembley.

Major new public squares, including Arena Square, First Square, Stadium Piazza and Station Square.

A new multiplex cinema and other leisure facilities, including ten pin bowling.

New community facilities, including crèches and nurseries, a GP surgery and space for arts, sports and cultural activities.

4,307 homes for around 10,000 people, including new affordable housing.

Accommodation for 656 students, a nursing home for 90 people and facilities for 20 people with special needs.

Connections from Wembley Park Station right through to Wembley High Road, across the new White Horse Bridge.
